Tech Lead

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tech Lead to join our dynamic team at DPDzero. As a Tech Lead, you will play a critical role in leading the technical direction and ensuring the successful implementation of our platform. Your expertise in Python, FastAPI, Celery, Postgres, Redis, Vue JS, and Vuetify will be vital in driving our technology initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance and support throughout the software development lifecycle.
  2. Collaborate closely with the product management team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  3. Design and architect scalable and robust software systems using Python, FastAPI, and related technologies.
  4. Drive the adoption of best practices for software development, including test-driven development (TDD) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  5. Ensure compliance with technical and financial audits by implementing necessary controls and security measures.
  6. Oversee the implementation of data science initiatives, collaborating with data scientists and engineers to leverage machine learning and analytics to drive business outcomes.
  7. Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence in software development.
  8. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain code quality and enhance performance.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  10. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and fintech advancements to drive continuous improvement in our technology stack.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Tech Lead or similar role, leading and mentoring a development team.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and experience with web frameworks such as FastAPI.
  • Familiarity with asynchronous programming using Celery or similar task queues.
  • Experience with relational databases like Postgres and caching systems like Redis.
  • Proficiency in frontend technologies such as Vue JS and Vuetify.
  • Solid understanding of compliance requirements and the ability to implement necessary controls in software systems.
  • Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including test-driven development (TDD) and CI/CD.
  • Experience with data science and machine learning initiatives in a production environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a strong focus on delivering scalable and reliable software solutions.
  • Fintech experience is a plus.
