QA and Automation Lead
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA and Automation Lead to join our dynamic team at DPDzero. As a QA and Automation Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our digital collections and recovery platform. Your expertise in quality assurance methodologies, test automation frameworks, and leadership skills will be instrumental in driving our testing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the overall QA strategy and roadmap to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Lead and mentor a team of QA Engineers, providing technical guidance, training, and support.
- Define and establish QA processes, standards, and best practices across the organization.
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using industry-leading tools and technologies.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and work closely with development teams to drive effective resolutions.
- Implement and monitor quality metrics, analyzing trends and driving continuous improvement in software quality.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements throughout the testing process.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in QA methodologies, tools, and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing test automation frameworks using industry-leading tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar for test automation scripting.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the fintech industry or other regulated environments.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements and security controls in software testing.
- Familiarity with performance testing and profiling tools.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Certifications in software quality assurance, testing, or related fields.
