DevOps Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage the scalable infrastructure architecture on AWS for our digital collections and recovery platform.
- Deploy and maintain containers using Docker and container orchestration tools such as ECS.
- Develop and enhance automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient software delivery and deployment.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to optimize application performance and scalability.
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery capabilities across our infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and proactively troubleshoot any issues or bottlenecks.
- Implement and enhance security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and optimize RDS database instances to maintain data integrity and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with the operations team to provide in-house hosting services for select lenders and banks, ensuring data privacy and multiple deployment management.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps and cloud infrastructure management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role within a cloud-based environment.
- Strong proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) services, including EC2, ECS, Lambda, and RDS.
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker, and container orchestration tools like ECS.
- Hands-on experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Solid understanding of networking principles, security best practices, and monitoring tools.
- Database administration experience, preferably with RDS or similar managed database services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification or other relevant certifications.
- Experience with managing on-premises infrastructure and providing in-house hosting services for lenders and banks.
- Familiarity with the financial services, collections, or banking domains.
