Senior Collection Manager

Job Description:

DPDzero is looking for an experienced and results-oriented Senior Collection Manager to lead our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will manage lending portfolios, supervise collection activities, and spearhead initiatives to enhance collection efficiency. Your responsibility extends beyond traditional management, as you will directly communicate with lenders to understand and drive the outcomes they desire. You will work in close cooperation with cross-functional teams, including collection managers, digital campaign managers, and data analysts, to synchronize strategies and maximize collection performance. Your role will be crucial in defining collection budgets, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring cost optimization to drive the greatest impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow lending portfolios, supervise collection activities, and initiate measures to maximize collection efficiency.
  • Directly communicate with lenders to understand and drive their desired outcomes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as product managers and data analysts, to align strategies and optimize collection performance.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with lenders and define collection budgets, allocating resources effectively for maximum impact.
  • Achieve collection targets for the assigned area, focusing on non-starters and maintaining control over flow cases.
  • Provide documented feedback and ensure effective communication with collection officers.
  • Ensure the adequate availability of collection officers, segment-wise and bucket-wise, for efficient collection activities.
  • Manage productivity by setting productivity parameters for collection officers & agencies.
  • Monitor performance against set parameters and conduct weekly reviews with collection executives.
  • Ensure background checks for all collection agencies hired and identify and address training needs of collection executives.
  • Evaluate the performance of all collection executives and provide necessary support.

Requirements:

  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a collections role, with a proven track record of success and achievement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, especially in negotiations.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a propensity for driving results in a high-performance environment.
  • Robust relationship-building and leadership skills.
  • Working knowledge of computers and proficiency in using relevant software applications.
  • Graduate in any specialization.
